I'm quite new to Tandem and BASE24 environment, so I have some questions.
Actualy the question is more from BASE24 environment.
Does someone from you have any experiance, how we can add (user) token to
BASE24 environment (need detail instruction)?
I allready read the "ACI Token Manual", but I still have problems adding the
token. Actualy I make to add token to code, to write it to TKN file and
configured it. But when I try to send the token data from STM message to
(H)ISO, the code simply doesen't work (the token data doesen't appear/go to
ISO message).
If you have any idea, please ...
Thank you,
BostjanSt
Does the token actually get added to the STM? Have a look at an Audit to
ensure you can see your token.
It is a good idea to write a ADDTOKEN and RETRIEVETOKEN utility and source
it into all your modules to ensure you are always manipulating your tokens
the same way, and ensure that you are using a new and unique token ID.
You also need to configure the HISO to send the tokens. The HISO uses a
different logic from core BASE24 when handling tokens. Normally a token is
extracted and logged unless the token file says not to- however, the HISO
does NOT send a token in the SEM unless it is told to DO SO by the
configuration.
Be sure to ask this question to the BASE24 Discussion group at
www.egroups.com/group/base24 if you need more help
If you say you have followed all the instructions in the B24 tokens manual,
then you probably have a code bug that needs correcting.
If you require professional assistance, then you know where to find us- and
plenty of other fine organisations who help people use BASE24.

My apologies, because I didn't provide enough info.
1.
My goal is, that token is send in HISO message.
2.
I'm updateing the CSM code, which was written by one of the ACI peopel
(however they call them). He didn't follow the steps from Token Manual
(Chapter 2), probably because he didn't have enough time.
3.
I checked the STM messeges which are send and receive by HISO process and
they have the token "P0" included correctly.
4.
I persume that I set the EMF flags (bitmap mask) correctly, becase when I
configured the tokens "03" and "P0" in TKN file to be send in HISO message,
the token "03" was send and "P0" wasn't.
5.
In Token Manual is written:
a - Define Token ID
I have done that. Token ID is: P0
b - Change DDL sources
I have done that.
c - If desired, add global definition
I didn't do that.
d - Write a token-specific conversion provedure
I didn't do that. Because I only ASCII data in token (no binary data).
e - Identify and enhance each process that will use the data
I didn't do that. Because I persume that if I have token in STM and
if I configure the token "P0" in TKN file to be send in HISO messsage,
then the token will be added in HISO message.
f - Recompile DDL
I didn't do that.
h - Recompile the token conversion utilities
I didn't do that. Because I don't have any conversion utility sources.
i - Rebind the token conversion utilities
I didn't do that. Because I don't have any conversion utility
compiled.
j - Recompile and rebind all modules
I didn't do that. Because I don't have any conversion utility
compiled.
s - Add token to TKN-TABLE in COBNAMES
I have done that.
t - Recompile token requester and install it
I have done that.
Did I went the right way? Or, what do I miss?
Thank you,
BostjanSt
