Hi all,
I am lokking for Java Virtual Machine for
Tandem machines.
Tandem machines configuration:
Operating system is SunOs 4.x & Integra-S
platform.
It will really help me if you can give me some
pointers to find more info about this issue.

Thanks
Bhaskar

Bhaskar-

You can go to:
http://www.tandemdirect.com/tdo/buildpage.asp?ProdFam=BB094 for the
Tandem JVM/SDK/Software. It's a free download.

Hi Fred,
I am looking for particular configuration(SunOs 4.x operating system
& Integrity-S platform). I understand there are JVM's available for
Himilaya server.
Thanks for your time.
Thanks

there is a Java environment for the NSK systems - look at
www.tandem.com for more details - its a free download. I am not sure
about the Integrity series systems.

No Tandem runs SunOs (that I have ever seen anyway) so you may want to
double check this. I assume as well that you mean an Integrity S Series
system - I am not sure if they have ported the JVM to Nonstop UX.

Tim

It would be defeating the purpose of running a Tandem Integtrity S
server and put SunOS on it. Are you sure about the Machine?

Can anyone tell me what's the minimum OS release to be on to be y2k
compliant, in the eyes of Tandem that is.

If not mistaken I would say D37 or higher plus any needed IPMs
D45 or higher (plus any needed IPMs, or G05 an up (plus IPMs.)

You don't give a platform or what your current Release version is so
it's rather difficult to recommend an upgrade path.

On D48 we are pretty safe. Still got to double check the Feb 29th IPM
and make sure we are up to date there.

The Integrity S series doesnt run SunOs! For a start the Integrity S
series uses a MIPS processor and I dont think there is a port of SunOs
to MIPS. Secondly, the hardware architecture is such that you would
require a fair amount of machine specific code.

The normal (and as far as I am aware only) operatting system that can
run on and Integrity S series is NonStop UX
