I'm using a Sun (Sony) GDM20E20 monitor on an Ultra 30 with Creator 3D.

The monitor was previously being used on a PC.

On boot up, it doesn't sync to the Creator card's 1280x1024x67hz output.

The only way I can get it to work is to reconfigure the card output to SVGA.

I've tried manipulating the settings from the monitor front panel without
success. I'm unable to locate a manual for this monitor.

Does anyone have experience with this multisync monitor on a Sun system?

It might work better @76 Hz...

I use the same monitor and switch back and forth all the time.

Irrelevant...

not sync up in what way? And why is it at 67 Hz?

Have a look at the output of eeprom and ffbconfig -prconf
There may be something there...
As Rich says use resolution setting: 1280x1024x76
Works for me.
