The monitor was previously being used on a PC.
On boot up, it doesn't sync to the Creator card's 1280x1024x67hz output.
The only way I can get it to work is to reconfigure the card output to SVGA.
I've tried manipulating the settings from the monitor front panel without
success. I'm unable to locate a manual for this monitor.
Does anyone have experience with this multisync monitor on a Sun system?

Irrelevant...

not sync up in what way? And why is it at 67 Hz?

Have a look at the output of eeprom and ffbconfig -prconf
There may be something there...
As Rich says use resolution setting: 1280x1024x76
Works for me.
prtdiag shows:
Bus Freq
Brd Type MHz Slot Name Model
--- ---- ---- ---- --------------------------------
----------------------
0 UPA 110 30 FFB, Double Buffered SUNW,501-4788
ffbconfig -prconf shows:
Monitor Sense ID: 4 (Sun 19" monitor)
Monitor possible resolutions: 1024x768x77, 1024x800x84, 1152x900x66,
1152x900x76, 1280x1024x67, 1280x1024x76, 960x680x112s,
960x680x108s
Current resolution setting: 1280x1024x67
And pushing the leftmost button on the monitor shows 71.6Khz/67Hz.
The monitor is on a KVM switch and has no trouble switching between
this card, the on-board graphics on a U5, and a U1 and SS20 with TGX
cards.
Don't know if this says anything beyond saying another GDM20E20 is
running 1280X1024X67.
