Enhanced Core Specification Freed from Proprietary Solutions

The Advanced Switching Interconnect Special Interest Group (ASI SIG)
recently released four complementary protocols that enhance the core
Advanced Switching specification and free it from previous reliance on
proprietary solutions. ASI SIG also welcomed a number of new member
organizations, including Sun Microsystems.

The new protocol interfaces include PCI Express encapsulation, simple
load/store, simple queuing and simple socket data transport.
