Hi i replaced a raid 1 disksuite mirrored disk with an previous EFI
labelled disk, changed to SMI and partitioned and labelled.
metareplaced all ok except for metadb on slice 7.
and metadb -a -c 2 -f /dev/dsk/c3t48d0s7, says no such device.
ls in /dev/*dsk/c3t48d0s*, slice 7 is not there.
the node 11,867 that should have been :h linked to
../../devices/..../ssd@"wwn":wd and :wd,raw

Is the disk still in EFI label ?, prtvtoc says ok on slice 7.

As im just using slice 0,3,4 i skipped slice 7 and used 6 as the metadb
all ok.

Any suggestions ?

format -e then label will tell you which label you have.

the device links stays in /devices until a reconfigure reboot or you
call devfsadm -C -v or the devfsadmd runs an scan the device trees
try to call devfsadm -C.
