I'm trying to configure SunMC v3.5 for multiple x800 SunFire
platforms. Out of the box, SunMC supports one platform by default.
I've read the docs regarding how to set up multiple platforms but
nothing in the docs state which server the commands need to executed
on (SunMC server, client, or both).
I'm running the SunMC server on an E450, with multiple F4800's and
F6800's. I've already searched the groups but couldn't find anything.
Any info would be greatly appreciated and summed up on the group.
TIA!

Not really sure what your problem is.
When you install SUNMC Server enviromnet form scratch you get
lots of questions wheter you want to install Server support
for Desktops, Workgroups servers , 3800-6800 , 12k-15k systemkontrollers.
I have not had problems with mixing Desktops and workgroupservers.
Admittedly I have not been a sysadmin on a site with Midframes or larger.
You would need to install the extra serversoftware for a new platform
onto the SUNMC server machine. One example of this is the new server code
available from the SUN Download web for the V210/V240 platform.
I know that you need a proxyserver ( a physical machine like a V100 ) to
run the SunMC client components for the Midframe's systemcontrollers ,
since the systemcontroller cant run the SUNMC code itself.
Its probably best if you try to define you problem more clearly.
