Hi, all!

i'm wondering if i can install a SCSI-Adapter in a Ultra10.
I've read the Hardware Answerbook of Ultra10 and didn't find any
thing about SCSI. It seems that Ultra10 just uses PCI interface.
But I have a extern SCSi disc free and want connect it with
the Ultra10. How and what should I do?
very appreciate for any tips of you.

Stick a supported PCI SCSI card into the machine.
there is a cheap but good one from symbios, forget which one, must pook
around their site abit.
but it works realy well, even booting from it is supported.
Costs around $80.

I have seen things you lusers would not believe.
I've seen Sun monitors on fire off the side of the multimedia lab.
I've seen NTU lights glitter in the dark near the Mail Gate.
All these things will be lost in time, like the root partition last week.
Time to die.

If not consider cost, you can find it from SUN.

thanks a lot for you help. Well, I have checked the Ultra10
physically and find a Sun PCI UltraSCSI Card (X6540A) in it.
But I didn't find any information about it in the boot message.
It seems that the Ultra10 doesn't recognize it.
Does it mean that I must install some driver for it? If
yes, where can I find the correct driver and how can i install
it.

TIA!!

Zheng

you may like to reconfigure then check again. To do that either

touch /reconfigure
init 6

or from the ok prompt type :

boot -r

Once system is up, view the config with:

prtconf
