We have a DSBE card X1052A installed on a E3000 machine.

Now I want to change the SCSI ID of this controller from 7 to 6. This
is because we want to use a multi-initiator SCSI bus with 1 controller
with SCSI ID 7 in one host, a jukebox, using SCSI IDs 3,4,5 and 1
controller with SCSI ID 6 in a second host.

I know, that there is global setting "scsi-initiator-id" in the OBP.
But this solution is not applicable for us in this case.

I also already read the SCSI PSD infodoc. But I cant get it to work.

We have OBP v3.2.7 .

This version seems not to know the commands ".attributes" and "XDRINT"
described in the SCSI PSD document.

Any idea ?

Please post to this groups or reply by mail.

Thanks

perhaps you should make it easier on yorself. 1.
1. get a wide controller that has 14-15 scsi id and you will be fine.
or.2, remember that sun supports multiple controllers, and therefore the scsi
id og the controller differentiates the matching id.
go to white paper at http://www.powerstarinc.com, and link too seagate white
papers.
