I have been trying to install Solaris 8 (intel Platform) using Sun's Web
Start installer
When the CDE kiosk starts up it starts asking the following questions
Is this a network machine? (YES)
Are you using DHCP? (YES)
Do you want to use IPv4 or v6? (IPV4)
what is your domain name? (humber.ac.uk)
What is your DNS IP's Address? (xxx.xx.xx.xx, xxx.xx.xx.xx - I did put
real numbers here!)
What are the domain search domains? (NONE- ie assume humber.ac.uk)
............then there are some geographical question and root
password................
When I press on confirm it comes back with the error "The Name Server
field is filled in incorrect".
I've tried using ".humber.ac.uk", "mymachine.humber.ac.uk" but I always
get the same error
Any help would be very much appreciated!!

If internal and external DNS is the same, try to use
nameserver = dns.humber.ac.uk
internet address = 194.80.49.40
The domain is humber.ac.uk
This will work.
( The file which is configured is "/etc/resolv.conf" ==> man
resolv.conf )
