I have an IBM DNES-318350 drive that is acting strange. It used to work
like a charm with OpenBSD-2.3 on a SPARC-2. Now I'm trying to use it
with SunOS-5.7 on a SPARC-10, externally connected in a 411 box and yes,
the bus is properly terminated. It passes sformat -randrw without errors.
But with SunOS format/analyze/test it stalls at every nth (for small but
mostly > 1 values of n) transfer.
Do I have a flawed drive or is this a known (in)compatibility problem,
or are there some special jumper settings I am not aware of?
Thanks for any hints
Volker
