Has anyone tried to upgrade a Sun SPARCserver 600MP model 120 class
machine that has Cypress/Ross 605 dual modules?? I am upgrading from
SunOS 4.1.3 to SunOS 5.5.1 and recieve the following warning.

WARNING: ...CYPRESS/ROS 605 PROCESSOR DETECTED - PLEASE UPGRADE.
WARNING: ...RUNNING IN UNI-PROCESSOR MODE.

The hardware compatability guides show that the 630MP is supported,
but does not mention anything about the Cypress/Ross 605's only
working in MP mode.

If anyone knows more specifics on the trasition of these machines, I
would be very greatful in any information you can provide. Our Sun
Rep failed to mention that there would be a problem in upgrading this
machine.

To run Solaris 2.X on the SM100 cpus, they must be rev 8, sounds like you
have rev 7 modules.
