Well I've been really busy for the past couple of months starting up
my own business so EightyOne has had to take a bit of back seat.

However, this festive period has allowed me fix a few things and we're
now upto version 0.24.

Get it while it's warm:

Got it, thanks for that, just had a go at hi-res chess, I lost.

Are there any games/demos there which really push the ZX81 to the limmit to
show what it's fully capable of?
Already played 3D Monster Maze, great game

Oh yeah, an idea for a future feature maybe, have a selection so you can
make an avi of your game, wouldn't end up to big, as it's just Mono and Mute
and low res.

Just an idea, don't know how difficult it would be.

The spectrum emulator?
:)

(Yes, there really is one. And if I had time pre-meeting, I'd dig out the
links for it - Ed)

I was thinking more of something that looked very pretty that shows off the
computers capabilities in an on the screen way.

What is the best game on the ZX81?

You mean that running 3D Deathchase on a zx81 isn't impressive enough?

SicCoyote. Monday. comp.sys.sinclair. Tch, eh?

One of the Software Farm's high res titles, probably (Forty-Niner, Rocket
Man, X-Tricator). But they're only really impressive if you know the
ZX81's "normal" capabilities. Better to show off to non-initiates would
be 3D Monster Maze, which you've seen, 3D Defender, or City Patrol. My
personal favourite was Sabotage, but it's not very impressive
graphically.

Isn't it Manic Miner? Hi-res and plays smoothly. Or try to pick from my web page:
