Hi folks!

Just visited the Retrogamer web site after seeing an advert for it somewhere
in the last few days and came across a very interesting Matthew Smith
article... Seems the guy visited a charity shop in Liverpool and found an
inlay card for AOTMZFECFM (I'm not typing it again!) in amongst a large
collection of old Bug Byte / Software Projects gubbins. Unfortunately there
was no tape!

The scans on the web site show the inlay to be very similar to the adverts
which appeared in the Speccy mags, so it could just be a mock up created by
Software Projects and there may be no game whatsoever. But then again... could
it be possible that the game still exists somewhere outside of Matthew Smith's
brain...? Should I add it to the MIA list as a potential recovery (given that
Solar Jetman is also on there)?

Anyone wanting to check out the scans can look here :

Well, if it's on a par with Andre's Night Off (Day Off...
whatever...), do we really want to know? :) Wasn't there a rumour
that it was cancelled by SP because it was... well... a bit crap?

I think that was the recorded reason why it was never released, not just a
rumour.... I seem to remember reading that they'd sent Matthew off to improve
it but he obviously went bonkers before then and vanished.

As for Andre's Night Off, I imagine AOTMZFECFM was probably a little better
than that - even Software Projects wouldn't have gone to such huge expense to
advertise a 3k BASIC game.... ;-)
