That would probably be Haunted House by Jonathan Cauldwell.

Rainbow Islands. (Done this one many times.)
Target Renegade. (Which repeats from the start, but gets harder.)
Colin the Cleaner. (Ha.)
And various other short/easy games.
I bet nobody has completed The Addams Family without cheating. I finished
it with infinite lives and it still took me about three evenings. Worth
it, though; there are some beautiful screens in there.

Hmm.
One of the Magic Knight series (can't remember which one)
Manic Miner
Quazatron (inasmuch as it's "completeable")
Ranarama (ditto)

Probably a few others which don't spring to mind right now.

I played Bruce Lee for the first time in years last week, and it was
still as easy as ever. Straight through without losing a life.
Decent games I've completed:
Chase HQ,
Renegade,
Target Renegade,
Highway Encounter,
Knight Lore (only ever completed it once),
Manic Miner (same with this, I've never managed it again),
Head Over Heels (collecting all the crowns)
Hmm, that's about all I can remember at the moment.
Of course Robocop isn't included above as that's far too easy to warrant
a place in this list. :)

Exactly.
I`ve completed a lot of the easy ones above (including Robocop ;o) ) but the
game that took me longest to complete and I was completely addicted to was
Arkanoid.
That just gives you a well done screen and starts from the beginning again
as well
Do sports games like Decathlon and Hypersports or Ping Pong count?

There was one in the Amazing Illusion Screen below the docks. It was hard
to get in and impossible to get out again. The whole screen appeared to be
a solid brick wall.
Eq.

I remember mapping that screen using an emulator and MS Paint. And The
Illusion Returns from Dizzy 5, too. Work of art, they were.
Feckin' pain in the arse, they were.
Not with my handy-dandy maps! (Screen dumps of the two illusion screens,
with every solid block coloured red, and arrows showing where to go - I was
well proud of them)
Aah, Terminus. It fell into the FGTH group of games - totally bizarre and

Are you sure ou did that one properly? I ask because the annoying snap
I have of that will give you invincibility if you hit the wrong key
when you load it. It too me ages to realise that it wasn't just a
ridiculously easy game.
A bit similar to Rastan where the official version will give you
inincibility if you accidentally hit the wrong combination of keys
while playing and IIRC I always seemed to hit that combination

Treasure Island Dizzy was the only one with a *really* hard to find coin.
YOu could only get it if you stood in exactly the right place so that you

Fairly Difficult Mission had a maze, which you could only solve by sending
off an SAE (as an action in the game) for a solution. FDM was brilliantly
funny in parts - not that I ever got beyond the start of part 2.

sprawled across your control panel with her (and I hesitate to use
such course language here ;) ) boobies showing. That's right,
boobies.

For this dishonour, I challenge you to a duel. Meet me at the top of

Exactly. Mazes are just plain crap. It's like the programmers just thought
"Hmm, how can I make this bit last longer? I know, I'll just stick a crap
maze there". Stupid.

I'm sure I heard somewhere this only happens on the 128k version, though.
I once managed to do this, without destroying any clones at all. Highly
embarassing when you're round at your Grandad's house. In the front room.
Using the big telly.

How about in Gauntlet where you could pass through walls by holding down
Symbol Shift? Was that a bug or a very obvious cheat?
(I called the Ctrl key 'Symbol Shift' the other day. Got a funny look.)

But it had music by Jean Michel Jarre. One-track minds and eight-track

I have a sudden urge to get some Letraset and turn my Alt keys into

Yep. It was and still is the only adventure game I've completed

Timegate
Raid over Moscow (I think)
The Colour of Magic (I did use some hints)
Gauntlet (I think - it starts skipping lots of levels at a time and
loading seemingly random level blocks. Looks like a overflow-type bug to
me)
Monty on the Run (I think, though again, I had hints for a couple of
puzzles)
Some hacking game published by the budget label, Atlantis (which I
completed, by, er... hacking the BASIC it was written in; after all, isn't
that what hacking's about - thinking /outside/ the box?)

Spellbound had at least one where you only found it by hitting enter in a
certain place - it wasn't even hidden behind anything, it was just
invisible. Maybe it was a bug, but I got at least one like that - maybe even
two actually.

Is that a lot then? Which one was first, Tantalus or Terminus?
These are the ones I remeber completing:
3 Weeks in Paradise (1st time I completed it was with the cheat, I
lost a life and smashed the keyboard with my left hand, all of a
sudden I had infy lives! Did do it properly after though)
Highway Encounter (one of the best games ever)
Wizball
Throne of Fire (easiest game ever)
Saboteur (almost as easy as above)
Raid Over Moscow
Jack the Nipper
Heavy on the Magick
Robin of the Wood (where was the archery tournament?)
Monty on the Run
Enigma Force (one of the 1st endings to be affected by outcomes of the
game, if a char died he didn't appear in the cockpit at the end!)
Eye of Bain
Ghostbusters
Automania
Invincible Island
Popeye
Impossible Mission
Bruce Lee (several times, not 46 in a row or whatever it was in Crash
(bullshit) Hall of Slime)
Sabre Wulf
Dan Dare
Trapdoor
Great Escape
Head over Heels
AW Monty
Killed Until Dead
Wizball
ID
Price of Magick
Beach Head 2
Did anyone ever complete: Gift from the Gosd, Cyberun, Psytron, Nodes
of Yesod, Firelord, Fat Worm, Amaurote
Sorry for the list, I kept a list of Speccy games that I owned at the
time (still got it obviously) and worked thru it!

Well, have you ever seen a spider wired up to 4096 TVs?

Must've been some sppoky bug then. There were definately no invisible
stars in Spellbound.
AndyC
On easy level maybe... but even the later missions?
>Did anyone ever complete: Gift from the Gosd
Gift From The Gods was a bit crap, wasn't it? Was that the one which had the
soldier type guy flying about with winged boots, etc.? The whole game was
bloody pointless.[1]

[1] As I believe a previous thread argued about.
At least one of them was underwater, but I can't remember where. Bet I can't
find it again if I tried.
Those coins were evil. Too easy without 'em, too hard with 'em.

There was one behind some red reeds (or whatever those green/red wobbly
thingys were) which you could only find by pressing enter in front of
the reeds (which weren't objects themselves) IIRC

That's one. I'm sure there was a similar one elsewhere too.

BTW, I just discovered Napster (or rather, the "amusingly"-titled
Amster, an Amiga port) the other day. I think I've died and gone to
Heaven.
At least, I would if my CPU was up to decoding MP3s at a half-decent
quality, and my sound hardware wasn't f**ked so that it makes everything
sound like a badly-tuned radio anyway. Waaaah! 'Snot faaaiiir!

It's just like piracy in the playground - not that I ever did that
<ahem>.
I've got the Logan's Run soundtrack on vinyl! It's great! (And will be
getting replaced as it's just been re-released on CD again)
Saw Jerry Goldsmith in concert once, sadly he didn't play any Logan's Run...

Ah, thinking about it there was one (or maybe two) hidden behind the
weeds. However Dizzy didn't actually pick up the weeds, unlike most of the
other things hiding objects. Perhaps that is what you're on about.

Try "mpega -m". That improves the decoding speed greatly.

But it won't help with that.

Yeah, but wasn't one of them off ground level too, so you actually had to be
swimming/sinking through the water to get it?

Well okay, it can do *half*-decent.

No. It's a bugger. The annoying thing is, you can alleviate the problem
a bit with samples by shifting them above the centre line (if you see
what I mean), but you can't do that with MP3s. And they're still pretty
crap anyway.
The 14-bit callibration tool doesn't help much either. In fact, it
doesn't work with my crappy machine. You know how you're supposed to
move the little bars so that there's no sound? I can't. There's always a
sound no matter where I put 'em. Bast.
