Diagnostics LEDs on Octane

Hi SGI users,

can someone tell me the meaning of the eight dignostics LEDs
in front of the Octane (beside the diagnostics port) under the front
panel ?
Because sometimes our Octanes hang when they are booting
and the "code" ist two green LEDs on the left and one on the right.
I can't find something in the manuals about this LEDs,
hope someone can help me...

An SGI support engineer ponce told me that they correspond to the system
having detected the corresponding XIO boards. I don't recall the mapping from
XIO board to LEDs. Some should be on in normal operation. I would look
elsewhere for useful diagnostic info unless one of your boards isn't visible.

These are simply link status lights. There is actually seven LEDs:

BaseIO X
QA X X PCI Expansion
QD X X QB
QC X X Heart

The BaseIO and Heart are connected internally and are part of the IP30,
so these will always be lit. The QA-QD refer to the quad module, which
is labeled like this when facing the rear of the Octane:

QA | QB
-------
QC | QD

QA should always be lit as the first graphics card is installed in
Quadrant A. The other LEDs will be lit depending on what XIO options are
installed.

The PCI Expansion LED will be lit if there is a PCI shoebox installed.
