I would like to record some vocabulary words in English and let someone
learning English be
able to hear and see how the sound and the waveform looks to train is ear &
larynx to say
the word correctly.

I would prefer not to have to license each disk sold. If there is a simple
utility please
help. This is for an English course in the 3rd world so they don't have
much money.

Thanks in advance!
Robert

IRIX contains lots of audio tools already. What extra do you need?

(Given that you selected this newsgroup, I am taking it for granted
that you already have a SGI computer you are planning to do this with.
If it is the case that you don't, and just posted to every newsgroup
you could find with "audio" in its name... well, I can't say this
politely, so I won't say it at all.)
