Adding or changing themes and icons in Pi Bookworm

Nothing under preference , the main menu shows, appearance setting,customize look and feel and desktop
appearance all checked, but only appearance setting shows.

This is a fresh clean install.

Can't answer for Bookworm per se, but its often grouped with 'change
desktop background'

OK, , I can change backgrounds but none of the other customization's work,
could be something they still need to work on.


There seems to also be a hiccup with Synaptic if you install that, the
search button, kicks you out to a login screen, but won't let you log in.
LOL

I removed it, and just use the stock Raspberry one for now.
