Exit number 13

Hi.

I'm getting a 'Process exited. Exit number 13' error message with my
OVAL code on a Workabout MX. This seems to happen when I include the
scanner control on my form. But strangely enough, this affects only one
of the applications!! Everything else is working fine.
I've gone through the discussions on this forum from 2002-2004 and they
all seem to be have some quirky solution or another for each
individual.
Has anyone encountered this problem with the scanner control & found a
solution for it?
I'm going to try copy-pasting my code into a new app & see if that
works.. meanwhile, any help on this would be appreciated.

update..
built a brand new app.. put in a scanner control.. worked fine.. added
grid.. worked fine.. populated the grid from a db and i got the panic
code again. and now even if i remove the grid & grid-population code, i
still get the error!!! the only way the app works is by removing the
scanner control.. but then that's not the point of using a scanner, is
it!
anyone got any ideas?? i'm on a tight schedule..
