my psion 3c was in contact with a wet umbrella.
On the next day i could not start my psion and the keyboard was a
little moist. after 3 days i can not start my psion.
I have checked batteries and attamted a hard reset, but this solve the
problem not.
Is there an stronger reset as the hard reset?
Must i place the start ssd in a drive (which?), if i have removed all
batteries?
How has a good idea?
Excuse my very bad english.

There is no "start ssd", the entire operating system and applications
are all in ROM. If you have removed all the batteries and tried to start
it up, then you've done all you can as a user. You need to get it to a
repair place. I suspect there's corrosion on the main circuit board or
in a connector. I doubt there's much you can do yourself.

When I managed to give my 3a a swim in the kitchen it took 5 or 6 days
with it sitting with the SSD drives open and empty before it would
work. I presume it just took that long for the water to evaporate from
some hidden place.

Gentle warmth applied from something like a hair dryer may work,
although results will probably be quicker if you are prepared to open
the case first. As long as there is no mineral residue left from the water
then things may well return to normal. I have succesfully rinsed
electronic components with de-mineralised water and then carefully
dried them after exposure to rain water. However I can accept no
liability if you chose to go down this route!

Please please please!
If any electric or electronic equipment gets in contact with water, DO
NOT SWITCH IT ON. Remove the batteries or disconnect the power source
at once. Then take it apart and dry it thoroughly using a hair drier.
Don't worry about your warranty, you have already invalidated that by
dunking it. Leave to dry in a warm (not hot) place for several days
and PRAY!
Only after you are totally satisfied that the unit is BONE DRY inside
and out do you cross your fingers and switch it on. Your chances of
saving it will be a lot better if it was not on when it got wet and no
attempt has been made to switch it on.
If the equipment is dunked in salt water, it is essential that the
salt crystals are washed out of it, as they lead to heavy corrosion.
I have successfully saved a power sander after total immersion in salt
water while it was running (I live on a boat) by taking it apart and
boiling all the components in MANY changes of fresh water.
I have also saved a cell-phone after salt water immersion by taking it
apart and washing everything in copious amounts of methylated spirit
before leaving to dry. I don't know how long it worked, but I used it
for a couple of weeks before getting a replacement. I then sold it
(for the value of the batteries etc.) and have heard nothing since.
Soap box mode off. (I'll go away now.)
BTW I'm not really a pompous ass, just had to make a point. {:o)
