Any app to allow remapping voice note keys?

I know several applications for remapping Psion 5mx keys. However,
none of them seems to allow remapping the voice note keys (record,
stop and play). Is it possible and does such an application exist?

(I never use voice notes, so I'd like to remap them so that I could
use them to silence alarms without opening the machine).

Yes, there is a talking clock app called 5talk which does this.

This is possible in Macro5. My Play button is set to run a speaking
clock application.

btw, on my 5mx, it's possible to start the Record app even when the
button cover is in place! I often do it by accident when picking up
the Psion, even in its leather case.

Umm, anyway, you can *already* use the buttons to silence alarms -
Stop will sleep the alarm for 5 minutes.

Oh, it seems I misunderstood the dialog labels in Macro5. I though the
first keypress dialog in the hotkey setups asks for the hotkey itself
but that's the "target" keypress of the hotkey (it seems that you
cannot set play, record or stop as hotkey targets).

Ok, now I realise it's possible with Macro5 -- except that I can't
figure out how to make the hotkey send keypresses "esc", "enter" or
"space". All those are keyboard shortcuts in the Macro5 dialog which
asks for the "target" keypress, so if I press any of those keys,
Macro5 interprets it as a keyboard shortcut of the dialog, not a
"keypress". I have the nagging feeling that I'm just being stupid...

Hi

Don't worry cause I'm an idiot too. I wish there was an idiots guide to
Macro 5 I can make it do a lot but I'm sure it's capable of more. I've read
the palmtop issue 25 article which got me a long way but I still can't
figure out the remapping

Regards

And what about completely disabling the buttons when the psion is off?
This way it won't get on just because I've the thing in my pocket and
I don't want to record any voices by accident which consumes the
battery unnecessary!

Those 'handy' buttons do annoy me from the beginning when I had the
Psion 5.
