And you would have a backup 7-8 hour one to boot :)

Yes, I would like also to be able to replace the old netBook screen with
the new one ;).
*Note:
1. The screen it the part that consume the most of the battery power but it
doesn't matter.
2. At present, I have a Zaurus SL-C760 nearby my old netBook... The 760 is
10 times smaller than the netBook but its hardware is better (640*480 *
65535 colors, 64 Mo, PXA 255 400Mhz, CF II / SD, USB, ...). More than that,
the screen swivel and it has 8 hours of battery life (and go into my little
pocket). And the Zaurus SL-C760 costs less than 550 euros....
Most of netBook pro specifications are share by the Zaurus 7x0 series
althouth the netBook don't have the Zaurus 128Mo internal flash.
Why Psion Teklogix sell it for 3 * this price?

YOU HAVE FIRED THE WRONG PSION COMPUTER PERSONS. STUPID GUYS ARE STILL THERE
AND CONTINUE TO MAKE DIRTY YOUR BRAND IMAGE... and continue also to break
your selling.

I have two batteries for my Jornada 720 and an external charger
That means my Jornada is never tethered to the charger

The dimensions of the two machines are highly similar but not
identical. The Series 7/NetBook is 1155 gram, 9.2 x 7.2 x 1.45
inch or 235 x 182 x 37mm, rechargeable 11.1 volt 1500mA Li-Ion
battery containing three CGR18650H cells, CR2032 backup Lithium
cell good for 55 hours.
The NetBook Pro lists as 235mm 184mm and 35mm, with the Imperial
measures listed as 9.25, 7.4 and 1.38 inches. I also note some
changes in the backup area, as it has moved to 2xAAA for the
backup.
I note various models of the CGR18650 cell from Sunrise at
capacities ranging from 1400mA to 1800mA. I also note that model
Li-ion cell is used in a variety of notebook computers, including
some from IBM, Gateway, etc. It sure wouldn't surprise me to
learn that that capacity is being pushed up.
Indeed, further study shows a claimed 2000mA for a Panasonic,
from this place http://www.sabahoceanic.com/lithium.html They
also offer free tack welding,so you could get the three tacked
end to end and suitable wires already connected. Given the
explosive nature of Li-Ion, I wouldn't be wanting to do that
myself. Price was US$7.60 a cell.
So I'd guess that even if the NetBook Pro turns out to use a
different battery (or a different battery pack), it might well be
possible to have an old Psion NetBook battery repacked with new,
larger capacity cells. However i think I'll wait until one of
mine dies before trying it.

Ciao Eric,
here are some news I managed to obtain by a netbook pro tester: the
new battery *is* compatible with the netbook classic. He swapped the
two batteries into the respective units and have used them for a week
without any problem.
the fact that this was actually unintentional prevented him for
keeping track of the performance. I hope to be able to get to know
more in the next few weeks

Fabulous :)
Hope there's no problem with charging new batteries to full performance
with a netBook classic...

Any news on this? Any ChaDis7 stats comparisons available?
