HI there all,

I want to ask if anyone has heard about a keyboard remapping utility for the
Psion 5, which will allow the user to remap the keyboard as he wishes. All
of us not using english as our first language would like to do this, and the
frustrating fact is that there are now a number of available programs to do
just this for Wince machines. I just looked at one such, which allowed for
different languages, and even allowed the user to change individual keys.
The psion 5 has the whole ansi set, and can somebody come up with an
explanation of whether this is possible, and if not, why? I cannot believe
that Psion have hardcoded all keys on the machine, that would be going 10
years back. If that is the case, I have a Psion 5 for sale and am going
directly out for a CE machine, which allows me to use my own language, or
english or whatever when I wish. This is about choices.

Comments please

There is a shareware for the S3A/C called KBDMAP that does this. Written by
Konstantin Saliy. It works great. I have not found any for my S5 yet. Maybe he
or somebody else is writing it? /NA
