Can the group please help in trying to connect my 5mx to my pc running
Win 2000. using psi win 2.3. I 'm hving to use a seriel to usb
conerter as the pc has seriel ports. all iget is cant connect messages
anyone got any bright ideas please

Try to borrow an alternative USB to serial converter. Some give more
trouble than others.
