With the 2.3.3 you have to manually set the connection speed to match
your 3c for connection to work. Unlike previous versions it does not
appear to connect to some machines when set to 'Maximum available speed'
after that it should be OK.
If not let me know via news and there is a registry entry you can
check...

Before reading this thread, I found the same problems. I have a
Windows 98 (4.10.1998) with 4 partitions. One has PsiWin 2.1 that
came with my Psion 5. I discovered when I was given a 3mx (to replace
my 3a), that I could also use it with 2.1.
Recently I bought a 5mx (5's screen faulty) and installed 2.3.2 on
another partition, but it wont see the 3mx.
I've just bought a new Psion 7 with 2.3.1 and that also wont work with
the 3mx.
I was using my 5mx to print via the PC the other day and was using the
older 2.1 (Psion 5) partition by mistake and found that printing
caused the first word of each line to be moved to the left and partly
off the paper. This was probably caused because of different print
drivers, but I've not had time to investigate.
It would be nice to use one version of PsiWin with all Psions; 5, 5mx,
7 and 3mx. I also tried changing the RS232 speed.
Reg.
I'm using the PsiWin 2.3.1 that came with my Revo to talk to
my 5, Revo, and 3c. I've Not tried it with a 7, 5mx, or 3mx,
but I wouldn't anticipate problems.
Cheers,
Daniel.
Since you are able to communicate with your 3c, maybe you know what I'm
doing wrong?
I'm running PsiWin 2.3.i on my Dell laptop (1ghz) with WinME and I can't
communicate with my 3c.
I've tried with cable and IR but nothing works. Setting the portspeed
manually didn't do it for me either..
Thanks

Well, not really, because I've never had it not work.
I'm using a cable, not IR. In Psion Properties I have selected
COM2 and "Maximum attainable" baud rate. I have not selected
the options to synchronize clocks or start CopyAnywhere, but I
have selected "Allow Psion Series 3 to see PC files". The 3c is
set to connect at 57600 baud (the maximum for a 3c) and the
Revo at 115200; PsiWin works faultlessly with both.
I'm running Windows NT4 on a desktop box (dual PIII/450).
One thing that may be important is that I have no modem
attached to this computer (and no modem configured in NT). COM1
is connected to another device (and is in-use from startup) so
COM2 is the only port available to PsiWin, and is not used for
anything else.
Cheers,
Daniel.

I have the same problem with a 3mx and PsiWin 2.3.2 and 2.3.1, but on
2.1 (each on a different partition on the same PC) the 3mx connects as
well as my Psion 5.
What's the registry entry ?
