Hi,

I tried to boot Debian on a 44P Model 170, scsi-id 4, but caused me a couple
of problems...
It seems I'm not even able to boot my previous AIX-installation on scsi-id 6
anymore.
I tried a couple of changes in the SMS-boot-up-thing, like changing
boot-file and boot-device. Boot-file finally reset to --nothing, null, ...--
I even tried dd if=/some/linuxkernel of=/dev/hd0.

And now nothing seems to boot, no tape, no disk, no cdrom... Even a couple
of options in my SMS-thing fail and provide me with an ok-prompt.
Booting with cdrom says: "20EE000B", then it tries the next options
resulting in
"/pci@fef00000/scsi@c/sd@6,0 unknown word".
Some options give me "unknown word in boot-manager package" or something
alike...

I'd love to boot this machine again. Is there anyway with an enlighting
idea?

Tnx, Floep
