My apologies if this has been asked before, but I'm new to this NG.

Does anyone make a low cost reader that will enable me to read .PDF files on my Palm Vx ?

Thanks in advance,

Hey Michael

How did you get such a neat quotation in your reply? Is that a feature of
your news client?

cheers

And is it considered rude to post to newsgroups in HTML?

Yes it is, for all those who uses telnet and tin to read their news, and
maybe also for those who "hotsync" their news to a handheld, to read it at
the bus.

I am simply using Netscape's newsreader. I am not adding anything special to
the message.

A company named Ansyr Technology (http://www.ansyr.com/) is
apparently close to releasing a native PDF viewer for the Palm.
They already have one available for WinCE devices and say the
Palm version is in beta right now.

I've used Primer (their product) on a PPC and I've got to say it's
not really useful. When you view the whole page all you get is
squiggles and to be able to see anything you have to scroll both
vertically and horizontally, and on a 200+MHz PPC it was ***SLOW***.

I just can't wait to see what the Palm version is like :(

Primer for Palm OS, builds on Ansyr's
successful range of products for Windows
CE and Pocket PC devices. Users may view
graphical PDF documents using their hand
held computers, enabling them to read a
vast library of electronic documents with
use Adobe's PDF format to provide instant
access to infrmation such as technical
manuals, reference documents and electronic
books. The product is being demonstrated at
the Seybold Seminars in San Francisco this
week.
