I'm new to Palm software. What is the best Palm game there is to
download off the net? When I go on websites like www.palmgear.com they
always recommend some silly game like Bejeweled which gets really
boring after a while.

My question is......aren't there any Palm games with depth? I already
have Race Fever, checkers, chess, Sim City, and a couple of others.

What's the best palm game out there anyway?

If you like word games, try SCRABBLE from Handmark.com

these words of wisdom:

Uh, I was gonna suggest "Bejeweled". ;-)
Seriously. Monopoly is great, as is Rally 1000 (Mille Bornes-clone), Vexed 2.0,
any game from http://www.electronhut.com or http://www.red-mercury.com/

Most of the palm arcade games are the twitch type, yawn. Scrabble,
Monopoly, Hoyle Backgammom, YahtC, Rally 1000 - those I've kept for a
long while.

Pocketchess deluxe, if you play real chess then this is worth twice the
money they are charging.

The ones that have staying power for me are:
Dope Wars (a Palm classic)
Hearts and Spades (card games)
Parking Lot and Vexed (both great puzzle games)
and last but not least...
SFCave (a "one-button" masterpiece)
Haven't found anything that holds my interest lately.

yahtChallenge (Yatzee) is very addictive. My battery life has dropped
considerably since it's installation. This is one of the few apps I liked so
much that I actually paid for it to keep it!

Get it from http://home1.pacific.net.sg/~kokmun/palmpilot.htm.

"Best" is so relative. But if you want games that are mentally engaging,
challenging and fun, it's hard to go wrong with interactive fiction.
Download Frobnitz or PalmFrotz. You can get freeware and shareware games
(many very good) at http://www.ifarchive.org and most of the original
Infocom text adventures can be played as well (but you have to buy them or
pirate them - you can get a CD with most of them for about $20 US -
Masterpieces of Infocom). These games can also be played on most other
computers. (I even created diskettes for my Commodore 64 from some of the
more recently released games just for fun - they work fine.)

Remember the Commodore 64 and early Amiga roleplaying games like Bards Tale?

Then Dragon Bane II will surely be something!

You can download a trial version at http://www.mythological.com/ , but if
you want to keep playing it is 27$. But well worth it I must add!

I love it!
