I'd been pleased with my m130 with one exception....not being able to
read the screen in sunny and or brighter outdoor conditions. ( I live
in Seattle) This wasn't much of a problem here during winter when the
sun makes fewer appearances and the general rainy dreary weather
conditions presents no problmen in reading the m130 screen. As I am in
sales I rely on Mapquest driving directions that I download to the
M130. This month when daylight savings time and the sun came back
unusually early I became frustrated with the unreadable screen and
upgraded to the Tungsten E. What a difference. No problem reading the
screen even in the brightest sun.

A while back when I still had my m130 I lost a stylus so I bought a
pack of em'.I ran across them the other day and thought how useless
they were now that I had myself a Tungsten E. Just for the heck of it
I started tapping my T E with my ol m130 stylus and I couldn't beleive
it. It not only works like the TE sylus it even fits the storage
groove! Could this mean that other Palm styli might also work on the T
E? hmmmmmmmm?
What a blunder of immense proportions from Palm. Or was it? could
someone at Palm have been reading RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS.

Anyway I really like the T E.

You sound like one of those people who thinks the stylus is an active
device. It is just a stick. You can use your finger if you want to... Also,
the T/E stylus "quill" unscrews to reveal a reset pin. I don't know if the
130 stylus has that, but it's good to know it fits in the silo.

Yes, I was one of those people who thought the stylus was active. But
now, thanks to you I find myself rubbing shoulders with those who have
got it right. So a stylus is not essential to navigate the T E. No the
m130 stylus is from the cave drawing era of technology and does not
have the screw off tip like the state of the art T E stylus.
