It's 11:30 am EST, and I can't even ping their site.
TIA.
Well let me refer to the sophisticated system I've devised for just
such an occasion... Its been my observation that Palmgear will always
go down at some point in the day if the day's name has a "D" in it.
(For Down perhaps? Hmmm, this bears further research) So does this
day of the week have a "D" in its name? Yep, Sunday has a "D" in it,
so today must be one of the days Palmgear will be down at some point.
I once again independently verified my hypothesis earlier this
morning. The phenomena appears to have ended though. Its back up and
running as of this writing.
sigh.

Attn. Californians, upon the next black-out please plug
your computer into the nearest spotted-owl. You'll find
him where your power plant should have been built.
I believe your observations are flawed, and that the correct letter is "A"
instead of "D". Remember Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

According to our web team, our site has not been down at all for the
past several days. We did move into a new data center with all new
servers over the last 10 days. It is possible that some ISP's have not
updated their DNS records properly and are still pointing to the old
IP. We would appreciate it if anyone experiencing problems with our
new site would please drop us a note with the details using the form
at the link below. Thanks a lot!

I often get failures from your database server when I try to connect
to your site. Network-wise, on the other, there hasn't seemed to be
any problem.
You should consider something really high-performance, like Oracle or
even MySQL, over the shall-not-be-named database "server" you're
currently running. Not that I have an opinion, or anything... :^)

I also can not access www.palmgear.com for several hours. I'd gladly
communicate this to you through the link you posted
(http://www.palmgear.com/shared/interfaceComments.cfm), but of course that
is unreachable too ;-).
Can you perhaps post the new IP address of PalmGear as a workaround untill
my ISP catches up?
Greetings,
Frans

Yep, guess that will not work if you can't access the site :-) Sorry
about that. Must have been working on too many emails at the time I
posted that! I talked with our web team and they said by now, ISP's
should have updated to the site change. They suggested that if you
still cannot access www.palmgear.com, to contact your ISP that they
need to update accordingly.
"I see no IP address here." :) Anyway, if you 're still having
problems, www.palmgear.com seems to be at 64.56.73.65. Re pings: I got
"Request timed out". Then again, my ISP is far from 100% reliable. A
few disruptions (DNS lost, DHCP server not responding) per day is
common. (Speak of the devil: "DHCP Server Unavailable".)
