memo + contacts disappear!

i've recently reinstalled 6.2 for my palm tx and when i put a memo and
contact info into the appropriate fields, choose desktop overwrites
palm, after bluetooth (terrible) hotsync, not only are the data not on
my palm, but they've disappeared from the desktop!

i de-installed it, downloaded the most recent, reinstalled it and same
problem...any suggestions?

I hope that you can restore from a backup! If not you might as well do
a "hard reset" and start over from scratch.

interesting ...it seems that other folks have had the same problem
with 6.2; i did

1) run it as administrator
2) have it run as if the operating system were windows xp

and when i even create a new note ... and close the desktop, open it
again and the note is gone and yet ...when i check in the 'memo'
subdirectory and open the file with a txt reader, the note is there,
just not visible either in the palm software or on the palm itself ...

anyone have any ideas?
