Anyone recommend a good Palm app to store login name and passwords for
ftp sites and to store URLs? I'm using Memo pad until I can find a
good replacement.

I ran across just such an app somewhere. Sorry, but I forget where. It was
on one of those "everything you can eat" Pilot sites with a set of menus
then sub-menus for applications, sorted by type.

It stored log in names and passwords encrypted. You DID have to remember
that one password yourself, or you'd never get at your own records.

Sorry, I can't be more specific, but perhaps knowing that it's out there
will help you find it.

There is a freeware program called Secret!
It is a text program like memopad, but stored the documents in 128bit
encryption.

Try Secret! - It's free, reasonably secure and easy-to-use.

There are several others if you check www.palmpilotfiles.com ,
www.pilotgear.com , et al.
