For anyone interested in homebrew Microcomputer design..the following Chips can be easily sourced, at affordable prices.

V6636 + (D41464 DRAMs 2pcs+EEPROM) enhanced MC6845.. gives several text modes 40 x 25, 80 x 25 + Several Graphics modes 320 x 200 to 640 x 350 , plus 640 x 200 (16 Colors )

V9990 Enhanced V9958 giving some VGA modes ( quite expensive to buy)

EF936x Thomson Graphics Processor.. a little expensive an less common than the V9958.

Sound

SN76489.. used in quite a few old RETRO computer

SAA1099.. used in SAM COUPE

AY-3-8910.. used in Amstrad CPC amongst others

CPLD (programmable Logic )

A complete ZX Spectrum ULA (144 Macrocells) can be put onto a EPM7160SLC84 an enhanced Spectrum ULA can fit into an EPM7256 ! So it should be possible to pop an ORIC's ULA onto a CPLD at an affordable price.

W65C02s 4-14MHz can be sourced for a few dollars each..come in DIP or PLCC package.

I've sourced a lot of stuff from G&C (China) saving a lot of MONEY !!
