As we've seen the rise of the Minimig and the One-chip MSX, I'm
curious wether anyone here attempted to build an Oric-1 clone on their
own?

I'm currently designing my own 6502 based computer, and suddently came
to realize that it's not too far away from the Oric-1 as one would
think. Besides the AY8912 and the ULA, it's bascially the same thing.

I'm not saying I will go as far as wire up an Oric-1 clone, I'm
interested to hear if someone here has attempted this.

PS/2 keyboard connectivity and VGA output would be neat, wouldn't it?

I did, see :
http://torlus.com/index.php?2007/12/05/208-oric-in-a-fpga-continued

It features a PS/2 keyboard interface, however it uses a RGB SCART
connection.
