Hi,

I am a former writer for a small part of the UK IT press. After the sad passing of Oric legend Jonathan "Twilighte" Bristow in 2013 I published an obituary in my retro column for the magazine Micro Mart (no longer published).

Unfortunately, due to a fire last year, I have lost most of my issues of Micro Mart (as well as some very rare computer hardware including a genuine 16K Oric-1). Does anyone have the issue with Jonathan's obituary piece in please? I ask as I now work with one of his former colleagues who has asked if I still have it.

Many thanks in advance.

Shaun.

Hi Shaun!

I think you contacted me (others too, I suppose) to say a few words the day he passed away. Probably used that for your obituary. Unfortunately I don't have a copy. I will have a look, in case you sent me something, but I found nothing on a quick first search through my email.

Best regards!

Thank-you Mike.

I now have the copy in Drop Box which I can share. The tribute was in issue 1263 of Micro Mart if you would like to find it yourself.

I've just read the tribute back. What a beautiful man he was.

Regards,

Shaun

As I said to Dbug (or is it Debug) earlier, I probably didn't get the chance to say thank-you enough to people like Jonathan. Without you guys, I wouldn't have had much of a column for 12 years of my life. So a big THANK-YOU to all 8-bit enthusiasts, hackers, developers, end-users and everyone in between for keeping the dream alive. So many good games were developed with love, especially on machines like the Oric.

Warmest of regards,

Shaun.

Dear all,
It's a very good idea to share this mag. I'll be happy to read it.
And there's also the ceo-mag dedicated to Jonathan
