Hi,

I have some specific cc:Mail platform question, since cc:Mail is
prevelant on Netware lans, I figured I'd ask here!

We currently have a cc:Mail Router for DOS v.5.11 routing between
TCP/IP (for cc:Mail Mobile users) and Banyan Vines. In the very
near future, the number of remote user's will be growing significantly
and we foresee the Router platform as a potential bottleneck.

What I'm trying to determine is different alternatives to allow the
cc:Mail Router platform to accept multiple simultaneous TCP/IP LAN
connections. These are what I have thought about:
(NOTE: I know there is a Router for OS/2 product, but that still
only supports 1 TCP/IP connection at a time. The Multisession Router
for OS/2 is strictly for multiple serial connections, NOT lan connections.)

1) Multiple cc:Mail Router PC's; cc:Mail Mobile units will be defined
to send mail to certain Router PC's based upon location.
2) Run cc:Mail Router for DOS on a Sun Workstation in a SunPC DOS
Emulation Window. I kind of doubt this would work, since the Router
application is specfic to the FTP Software's PC/TCP kernel.
2) Run cc:Mail Router directly on a Sun Workstation, but I doubt this
product exists and the Sun would also require Banyan Vines on it,
which is probably not doable!

I really have not come up with any other solutions. I think the best
bet is running on OS/2, but the lack of not supporting simultaneous
TCP/IP LAN connections is a real drawback. Maybe the only solution
is multiple Router PCs?

If anyone has any feedback on my dilemma, I would greatly appreciate it!!

TIA,

Bill Maggio
