We use WIN3270.EXE (free add-on for Novell's LAN WORKPLACE 4.2),
available from ftp.novell.com Works fine.
We use a product from Dynacomm/Futurtsoft called Dynacomm Openconnect
TN3270. Its a very good product, easy to use, and is loaded with
features! We use it's built in scripting language to controll
automated "on-line" processing, and it's DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange)
capability to access other Windows programs, like Excel, Word, and a
Document Image system. Check it out. Dynacomm (214) 888-0472 Neil
Lerry.
Oh it also works over winsock, or about 15 other proprietary vendors
tcp/ip stacks.

You didn't indicate what type of protocol you currently use to provide 3270
connectivity. My personal preference for a windows based 3270 emulator (which
also does VT for Unix based hosts and AS400) is Rumba from Wall Data. It
provides a whole series of connectivity options from Netware SAA, to LLC to
IP. It also provides all of the windows basics (DDE, etc).
Best of luck!

Does the IRMA product still require a hardware card be installed in each
client?
The improtant difference in 3270 emulators is their ability to handle or
convert 3270 extended attributes. If mainframe applications (such as
Model204) hard code extendeds, the emulator must be able to either
neutralize or process them. If you indeed need to access these applications,
look for a product that can handle 3278-2-E terminals or 3279-2-E.
Yes, the Dynacomm Elite can do this, but Dynacomm Elite is for PCs
that have an actuall 3270 card inside of them. Dynacomm TN3270 is for
PCs with Windows and either Winsock or some of the 15 or so other
TCP/IP stacks that the Dynacomm product supports. Both products can
support the extended attributes.

I have been using Rumba for afew months and it seems to do the job
they are a british company I think call Wall Data.

We use Rumba as well, It works very well and if you by Rumba for
Netware you get the LWP TCPIP stack (not applications) included.
Another package we have is Outside view. It is also pretty nice and
includes several Telnet emultations including 3270, VT220 and Data
General. You will be required to by someone's TCPIP implimentation
prior to using this product. We have Novell Lan Workgroup.
