At my school, we have a local network of ~40 NeXT stations working off
a NeXT Cube server.
The problem I'm having and that the local gurus couldn't explain, is
that Mouse-X will only run on about half the machines, even though
they're running the same version off the server. When you try to activate
it on the bad machines; it pauses, runs the hard drive and then kills the
process. It doesn't even seem to leave the NeXTStep enviroment.
Does anyone have an explanation for this? Not many people here use X
so it hasn't really been a problem, but I'm very curious.
