NeXTWorld magazine Vol. 1 No. 1. Jan./Feb. 1991. This is the premiere
issue of this short-lived publication. It features Steve Jobs (current
CEO of Apple) on the cover. The magazine is in excellent condition and
is in its original plastic mailer (which has been opened). This issue
was originally mailed to me in 1991. Also included is some promotional
material from NeXT, including a reprint of an article on NeXT from
MacWorld, and brochures and pricelists for the different NeXT computers.
You won't find these materials in better condition. NeXT has faded into
history, but some of its ideas live on in current Apple machines.
It went for $76. That is a lot of money for a magazine.
I am starting to wonder what my collection would go for now. I have
several large boxes of NeXT materials, including all NeXTworld magazines
(I think I have issue #1 twice, even), all NeXT In Focus magazines,
initial promotional material (the square magazine-like one), all the
books from Addison-Wesley (mint) and much, much more. Several boxes, all
in storage currently.
And of course
1 33MHz NeXTcube with very rare NeXTdimension (pal), HD
2 B&W monitors
1 color monitor 21" Hitachi (with broken power source), I've got a
cable that allows me to connect a modern monitor instead.
1 NeXT Sound box
1 NeXTprinter in very good condition (has seen limited use and had its
rubbers and such replaced)
1 Singular Solutions A/D64 professional A/D converter (interfaces
directly with DSP port)
Spare parts (I recall being able to build another Cube except for the case)
A lot of software, including very rare stuff like the Prerelease 3
(Golden Master) for NEXTSTEP 3.3 (sent out to me for testing because my
cube before this one triggered a bug) and NEXTSTEP 3.2 for PA-RISC, etc.

the premiere issue for $12 including shipping.
