ARCANE SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES NEXTSTEP EXPO SPECIAL OFFER
ThreadKit Available at Special Expo Pricing
CALGARY, AB, June 17, 1994
Arcane Systems Ltd. today announced a special promotional pricing,
a single-developer commercial license, and availability of a demo
package for their ThreadKit product.
"Demand from the independant development community is much stronger
than we expected, and we're pleased to announce the availability
of a pricing strategy better suited to their needs" said Terry
Wilcox, President of Arcane Systems.
Until July 15, 1994, a single developer commercial ThreadKit license
will be available for $500 US. During the same promotional period,
a five developer commercial license will be available for $750 US.
After the promotion, these prices will return to $750 and $1000
US, respectively.
Three representatives of Arcane Systems will be present at NEXTSTEP
Expo. Each will have a limited number of discounted copies of the
non-commercial version available for $75 US (25% off the list
price). Blake Stone, the developer of the ThreadKit, will be
available to answer questions at the show Tuesday and Wednesday
from 12:00 to 1:00 just outside the show floor.
"Even though we are not formally exhibiting at NEXTSTEP Expo, we
wanted to extend a special offer in the spirit of the occasion"
said Terry Wilcox, "The non-commercial license is a great way to
evaluate the ThreadKit, and we will offer upgrades to commercial
licenses for the difference in cost."
In response to overwhelming demand for information on the ThreadKit,
Arcane Systems has published a demo package containing the ThreadKit
documentation, sample source code, and executable code utilizing
the ThreadKit. The demo is currently available via anonymous FTP
in the /pub/next/submissions directory on cs.orst.edu.
