Newton Vertical Market Solution
-------------------------------

Audits International contracts out to restaurant to do food inspections
to insure that proper quality and health standards are being insured.
One of their major contracts is providing these types of inspections for
Taco Bell. In the past, Audits International was maxed out at doing
only 2000 inspections a year using a paper data collection, manual
calculations, and snail mail distribution of reports. They now have a
Newton solution in place that allowed them to process 4000 inspections
in 1995, make more accurate inspections, and cut turn around time from
20+ days to less than 36 hours. Best of all Audits International now has
room to grow. The solution was built by Wright Strategies using their
FormLogic data collection and info distribution solution. For more info
about FormLogic send email to: <sa...@wrightstrat.com> or check out:

Comments from the Editor
------------------------

** NEWTON SOLUTIONS ARE COOL **

From the vertical market to horizontal solutions, the Newton is a
growing and thriving PDA platform. MacWorld was very positive, and all
the solutions profiled by Apple at the SI/VAR symposium were very
compelling. Things are looking up, and as Newton System Group continues
to deliver new software and hardware in the next couple of quarters,
things should only get better.

** NEXT WEEKS ISSUE **

In next weeks issue we will have:

- summary of Newton form and data collection tools
- some more information from SI/VAR Symposium
- a review of the happenings at PDA Developers West 1996
- another Newton Vertical Market Solution

And we will review the following magazines:

- PDA Developers, Jan/Feb 1996, Volume 4.1
- Pen Magazine, Jan/Feb 1996, Volume 3 - Number 8
- Newton Technology Journal, Feb96, Volume II - Number 1
