Hello!

Does anyone know whether the Spectravideo SVI-904 Data Cassette
is compatible with the Spectravideo SVI-728 line of MSX computers?

No. The connection does not correspond to the MSX standard, the baud rate is given as 1800.
In general it can (almost) use any cassette player as a data recorder. The connection must only be adjusted to the MSX port, possibly via an adapter.
