I’m also interested in hearing about anybody experience with these
this graphics system. I will be assembling it in an IMSAI 8080.

Derek,
I have the MA520 but no manual. I 've searched online over 'n over
till my eyes were tired but with no luck. I have the MA512 manual too
but it's not close to figure out the details for this card. I'm also
trying to build this into my Imsai system.

I programmed up some AMOS drivers (supervisor calls) for a
MicroAngelo about 28 years ago ... so my memory is somewhat decayed.
Nevertheless; the card was based on a Z80 CPU where one could even
download "microcode" (native Z80 instructions) or simply operate the
graphic primitives by writing to the card's ports on S100. I don't
remember the port numbers nor the precise instructions. The card
only knew about the pixel universe. No inbuilt scaling, IIRC
I do remember that the card wasn't able to draw arcs; just straight
lines; and lack of a Z80 assembler meant that I was calculating arc
segments using trig-equivalent Taylor series - no more than 4 terms
required due to resolution limit - so no better than half-pixel
accuracy required.

I just noticed something that may be of use for a manual at
http://www.pestingers.net/PDFs/S100_computers/SCION.pdf
Thanks,
Derek
I can't get this link to load no matter how any times I've tried.
Has anybody managed to view this link ?
