I finally got a G5, thinking I would be able to use my SCSI adapter
cards(Adaptec 2930/29160N). Wrong! the PCI slots are different sizes
(silly me!)

My previous system was a PM7600 w/a NT G4 450 that had 3 50 GB SCSI
drives of info. I WANT some of that stuff!

Ive been a Mac'r since the '128' days. Seems like previously you could
transfer files via Ethernet. My 7600 doesn't have a firewire PCI.

Other than putting everything on a CD-R, what are my options?

The G5 has PCI-X slots, which are longer and deeper than a normal PCI
slot, however, they are *supposed* to be backwards compatible. The card
be be required to run at 3.3v though to work in the PCI-X slot. Some
cards however have longer "fingers" and go too deep in the PCI-X slot
and cause problems.

Says the 2930 will not work, but the 29160N "will fit into PCI or PCI-X
slot but have only been tested minimally in the Power Mac G5".
