Well, Apple announced two new Pro level chips for their two new Laptops,
a 14" and 16" pair of beasts boasting up to 21 hour battery life and 7-%
faster processors than the already absurdly fast M1s.

I ordered a 14" close to the low end, but with 10/16 cores instead of
the default 8/14 cores, to replace my quite old 2015 MBP which while it
still works definitely has some growing issues ad weirdness. A good
friend of mine went all out though, and spent a bit over $6000 on a top
end 16" with an M1 Max, 64GB of RAM and an 8TB SSD

It is likely I will never use the HDMI or SD slot on the machine.

My "little" laptop will only get up to 17 hours of battery life.

Waiting on a higher spec iMac. This fall? TBD.

it's highly unlikely that there will be any additional product
announcements until next year, especially with supply constraints.

I'd say the odds on another event this year are slim to nil. There COULD
be a new Mac mini released without an event, but it seems they would
have done it after today's event.
