Now that Apple doesn't distribute (Combo-)Udates as DMG any more, does anyone
know of a way of downloading Updates onto one machine in the household and have
all others pull off of that?

You've said this before, right? It's still not true.

This was answered by several people within the last couple of weeks.

softwareupdate is one way to download the full installer, which include
a disk image which can be put on a USB thumb drive to boot and install
onto any supported mac.

Can you post a link to the Combo Update for 11.2.3, please?

This was not answered. And when I replied to you where one can read
up there was no reply.

So if I understand this correctly, on every update I should download the complete
image of Big Sur and conduct a Big SUr installation instead of an Update?

But if it is all too difficult, perhaps just plonk me.

It is a biggie at 11.6GB:

http://swcdn.apple.com/content/downloads/12/32/071-14766-A_Q2H6ELXGVG/zx8saim8tei7fezrmvu4vuab80m0e8a5ll/InstallAssistant.pkg

You should be able to use "createmediainstaller"
to make the self booting installer or if you have 11 installed, just
reinstall the OS from the application.

You can't afford to pay someone for this advise? Looking over your
internet related history, I would think that you can. I'll not reply to
you anymore.
