I still use Macs and iPads- - but no longer use an iPhone. I deleted it
from my list of devices in my Apple ID after first turning off iMessage
and Face Time on it. I also no longer use the phone number from that iPhone,

But I don't see a way to delete that phone number from "Reachable At" on
my Apple ID page. Suggestions?

On the Mac:

Messages > Preferences > Accounts > You can be reached for messages at.

On the iPad:

Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.

Regrettably, nether option helped. The phone number was not listed in
either setting- just email addresses :-(

You should explain what the actual problem is you are trying to solve.

Want to delete a "Reachable At" phone number from my Apple ID that's no
longer mine.

I still have the phone so had turned off iMessage and FaceTime as a
first step.

I just have to wonder if the number showing up there is causing an actual
problem.

So try the other option.

Don't know, since I no longer have that number. Who knows what texts are
going out into the ether- or to whoever has it now ;-)

More importantly, two local Hooters waitresses and a 2015 Dallas Cowboys
Cheerleader I met on a plane flight have my old number and may be trying
unsuccessfully to reach me at it. Would you want in on your conscience
that girls like that are pining away?

I did. Unfortunately it assumes that while you no longer have the
iPhone, you still have the number which you ported to another phone
because it sends the notification code to that number.

Hmph. I think at this point I'd call Apple and let them straighten it
out.
