Greetings all:

I'm running Leopard 10.5.8 on an Intel Imac (not that it matters in
this case). After ignoring Automator for year, I'm trying to use it to
do some regular mundane tasks. Is there anyway to set up Automator to
open iTunes on a weekly basis, go to the Itunes store, and download a
free podcast? (This American Life). After spending a half hour or so
on the Automator menus, I don't see an obvious way to do this.

Does anybody have any experience with Automator doing this?

tks,
Mark

You don't need Automator to do that - iTunes will do it for you.

Subscribe to the podcast, and then select it in iTunes' podcast list.
Click the "Settings" button at the bottom of the window. Then choose
the options to periodically check for new episodes, and download them
for you automatically.
