Of the many things I have heard about Quickdraw GX, the one that I am most
interested in is 3D graphics. I heard that there will be built-in routine
for doing complex 3D rendering.

For anyone who has a beta version ... how is it ? Is it easy, can it
really do shaded 3d renderings, and how good are the renderings ?

Thanks.

QuickDraw GX supports arbitrary 3X3 transformation matricies. The third
collumn is used for encoding of perspective. You can use this to
create 3D displays of objects, and a library (ie, source code)
is included on the CDs that show how to do this.

However, this is *not* "built-in 3D rendering" by just about anyone's
definitions. I certainly wouldn't call it "complex".
