Hyunchang--

I've been told by a few sources that the 850 is the commercially
released version and that the 855 was released (i.e., targetted) to
the personal/home market. They are, essentially, identical.

You will not find an 850C at the local computer store, but many
mail order houses and computer companies that deal with businesses
do sell them. The 855 can be found at Best Buy, etc.

I just bought mine yesterday and I got lucky, too--on sale (new)
for $469.99 at Circuit City here in Houston, TX. The going best
rate that I could find was $499.99 until I stumbled upon this
one.

The 855c is only being sold through mass-merchandisers (Comp-USA), while
the 850c is being sold through Comdex resellers (corporate accounts).
That's the theory, anyway.

The 855c has a PhotoCD offer (worth $20 or so), and has a slightly faster
(6ppm vs. 7ppm) draft mode in color and b&w. Not a very significant
difference, considering the mode, but if you want the "biggest, fastest,
baddest... "
